New Adaptive Reuse Series Launch

We recycle our bottles, cans, and paper, so why not our built assets as well? This is the question Adaptive Reuse poses. The idea is to recycle, reinvigorate and reinvent a space for another use than initially intended.

During an interview with dwg. founder and President, Daniel Woodroffe, several years back, the topic came up and has been swimming in our heads ever since. Over the course of several months, we began assembling a new series in the background for our Design vs. Build platform focused solely on Adaptive Reuse. We kicked off the series with Parking Lots to Parks, the story of the revitalization of Austin, TX’s Highland Mall into Austin Community College’s flagship campus, available to stream now on Designvsbuild.com

There are many, many more stories to tell in this space and we at Pearl are quite excited to explore these projects and share their stories in the coming months.
